Installation Instructions

APPLICATIONS

  • For retrofit onto windows with Truth operators.
  • WLS motors can’t be wired in parallel to operate multiple motors.
  • WLS must be mounted to a Truth window or skylight operator; the motor replaces the manual handle.

    WLS applications – for wood, PVC or metal sashes:

  • Casement windows meeting AAMA-101 hardware load specs.
  • Awning windows with appropriate loose-rivet type hinge and operator.
  • For skylight weighing up to 80 lbs (WLS is load-rated at 40 lbs).
  • For skylights: also use a Truth angle drive module, type 42.65, to connect to WLS to a skylight, sold separately.

 

FEATURES & BENEFITS

  • WLS must be mounted to a Truth window or skylight operator; the motor replaces the manual handle.
  • Opening distance depends on the manual operator (sash will open about half the length of the Truth operator being used with the motor).
  • One WLS control switch is included with WLS system, and operates only one motor (one switch must be hooked up for each WLS).
  • ETL/CE rated (not UL listed).
  • Connect to standard 110 VAC power (no transformer needed).
  • Low voltage 24 DC motor; built-in conversion to AC house-current.
  • Rain sensor is included in all WLS and HS kits.
  • Basic setup requires a motor and cover (sold separately).

OPTIONS

  • WLS cover available in choice of colors.
  • Optional RF hand-held remote control can control any number of motors, as well as motorized blind systems.
  • Optional remote control has a built-in thermostat control.
